Laos' Intellectual Property Law


Laos' Intellectual Property Law was first promulgated on 14 January 2008 and was entered into force on 14 April 2008. Later on, in order to enhance the effectiveness and meet regional order,the Intellectual Property Law was revised and amended in 2012, and it was promulgated in the same year on 16 January 2012 by the president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic which was approved in the Second Ordinary Session of the 7th Legislature. It is a remarkable movement forward to the ASEAN Community in the near future as well.

Podcast: Class Activity


This Podcast takes around 09:11 minutes for listening which is shared by a woman who is knowledgeable about doing business.

The activity will be taught for adult learners with intermediate level aging 25 up. The number of learners is 20.

Objectives:
Learners will be able to:

  1. practice note-taking method
  2. practice listening in English on their own;
  3. build confidence in speaking;
  4. interact and exchange ideas through discussing with group members.

Procedure:
Learners will be divided into 5 groups, group of 4 in order to complete this Podcast activity. Firstly, they will be assigned to listen to the podcast titled "3 Biggest Mistakes to Avoid with System" individually and try to take notes as much as he or she can. Secondly, learners have to discuss with their group members and share ideas of what they understand about the podcast. Thirdly, each group has to select one reporter to present important points from the podcast to the whole class.

My Introduction




My name is Xaythavong Manichanh one of the Lao participants attending the Brunei-U.S. English Language Enrichment Program in 2014. I live in Vientiane Capital and work at Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Laos. This is my first blog created in order to share interesting information with other participants.
